Medical Director and Cofounder, Dr. Coates, has been a practicing gastroenterology for over 30 years in Grand Rapids. Dr. Coates is leading the way in treatment, research, and therapy for gastrointestinal disorders. As the principle investigator with West Michigan Clinical Research Center, a division of Gastroenterology Associates of Western Michigan, he has participated in over 100 FDA clinical trials for new treatments. He is board certified in both internal medicine and gastroenterology, received his medical degree at Des Moines University College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1980, and completed his gastroenterology fellowship at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor in 1982.
Head of Infusion services and Cofounder, Nicholas Kolascz, is motivated to provide hope to those in West Michigan. Nicholas has been using ketamine as an anesthetic in operating rooms for over 5 years. He received his Masters in the Science of Anesthesia from Wolford College in Naples, FL where he graduated with honors as president of his class. In 2015 he became board certified with the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists. Since then Nicholas has delivered safe and effective anesthesia in the offices and operating rooms of surgical centers and hospitals throughout west Michigan.
Nicholas is an avid believer in maintaining a high quality of life. Throughout the years he has witnessed a broad spectrum of patients. He has noticed most of his patients are suffering from emotional and physical pain, and many are unsuccessful at obtaining relief through traditional methods. Nicholas is eager to provide hope to the people within his reach, and get them the treatment they deserve. He believes that by implementing ketamine infusions to this specific demographic he can dramatically increase their quality of life.
Lead Therapist, Ashton Campbell, is a Mental Health Counselor that works with individuals who suffer from anxiety, depression, and adjustment disorders. He received a bachelor’s degree from Calvin College, followed by a master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Cornerstone University. Ashton currently serves as a board member for Beacon of Hope, a West Michigan non-profit counseling center. He enjoys writing, walking, and camping with his wife and year old son.
